Biography

Star sign: Pisces

Size: Top Secret  ;)

Family status: single, very available

Eyecolor: Ocean blue

Haircolor: Persian blonde

Hobbies: I have no hobbies :D But maybe movies (definately!), gym, rollerblading, cycling and other exercising

Job: Music producer/manager/songwriter

Equipment: I'm endorsed by Hughes & Kettner amplification exclusively. Other equipment I use include Shure wireless equipment and mics, ESP/LTD guitars (moving to Schecter 7-string guitars if they get me a good sponsor deal), M-audio and Focusrite studio hardware, Steinberg Nuendo software, VST instrus from EW and NI

Musical background: Started with the Finnish national instrument Kantele as a child, and moved on to classical tuition on contrabass from there. In addition to these studies I have self studied the playing skills of Classical cello, Electric guitar, electric bass, the piano (both classical and pop/jazz), drums, vocals, audio recording/editing/mixing, songwriting and producing to name a few. I think I like playing drums the most  :)

Life philosophy: Just trying to stay alive, day by day...

Favorite Tacere song: From current songs my favourite is "Into your dreams". From upcoming material I like a song called "The last chance". It will be featured on the 2nd Tacere album (released sometime in 2008 probably)

Favorite band/musician: Ooh... I listen to so many different music genres from metal to classical from jazz to fusion from radio pop to progressive electro and ambient... But if I have to choose one I'll have to go with J. Sibelius!

Favorite color: Black definetly, if that counts as a color  :)  ... If not then I would say that I like certain shades of red very much, also different shades of blue feel good to me, and a certain kind of green color also gives me a kick.

Favorite book: But I don't have much time to do reading on my freetime, and I'm also doing so much "factual" reading because of my economics studies, that I really don't even want to read that much...so I prefer movies over books anyway on my free time. But my favourite book would probably be Umberto Eco's "Il nomme de la Rosa". I also like reading biographies and history books.

Favorite drink: Aa... There are so many good things to drink  :)  Water of course is the most important one.... Non-alcohol drinks that I enjoy include a proper good cafe latte - I drink those like 2-6 every day and I really don't like plain coffee very much... milk, fresh-squeezed orange and grape juice, sprite and coke. Great alcohol drinks are Belgian Hoegaarden big pint with lime, Belgian Leffe Blonde beer, German Kolsch beers from Cologne, Jameson whiskey, Mexican beers with lime, Jägermeister with coke and then Spanish or South American good red wines... At summer times white wine is also good (and you can make great sprizers from white wine and 7up). Coctails that I like include The mojito, Caipirinha, Cuba Libre, Tequila sunrise, Tequila Slammer, Slammer Royale, Apfelsinth and the traditional Gin Tonic. I'm also a friend of good quality Cognacs and Armanjacs.

Favorite food: There are so many great foods that it's impossible to choose. But I really really love mexican foods (Cochinta pibil, Fajitas etc. etc.), blins (blin is almost a pancake like non-sugar pastry that are filled with caviar or fish eggs) and also fish eggs and caviar in general (and everything that goes with them), all kinds of other sea foods, Ranch style american foods, Italian (especially the great pastas, and everything with exellent Italian formaggi... plus the great pesto genovese! ...and veil, very well done) and French cuisines (one of the best meals I've ever had was a 4 hour session of French á la carte with 7 different dishes and three different wines), I also like good stakes (like Spanish style "Solomillo ála pimienta con roseque" for example... and medium raw always!), chinese food, I also like good salads a lot! Then of course I like fast food also  :)  (Burgers, Pizzas, KEBAB!, Fried chicken... and actually fried everything :D ) and the Finnish Hesburger fast food chain's "Fiesta Burger" (white sandwich burger in the cheeseburger style, but in addition to the beef and cheese filled with great mayonese, fried onion rings and jalapeno). And I almost forgot... Greek food! I don't really like the greek meat dishes but all greek seafood is absolutely fantastic and the salad based foods are also great. ...And I also like to cook myself, so maybe that should also be in the hobbies list? Cooking is like an art to me  :)

Favorite movie: This is an impossible question to answer. I love so many movies, and I like so many different movie styles very much. I do have to say that probably the movies "Amadeus" (both the original and the directors cut) and "Das Boot" (both original and d-cut) for me top all of the other movies in the world for some reason. But there are so many fantastic movies around, that I can't say what would be my absolute favourite. I like big historical spectacles like "Alexander" or "Master & Commander", then I loved the LOTR movies and the Matrix Trilogy. I also like any movie with Colin Farrel, Johnny Depp, Will Ferrel, Ben Stiller, Gary Oldman, Jim Carrey, Jack Black, Bill Murray or Matt Damon in it  :)  (no I'm not saying I'm gay, that's not at all what I mean :D ) >From the female actress' side of things, I like Scarlett Johanssen very much, and Christina Ricci, and Nicole Kidman, Salma Hayek and Michelle Pfeiffer... But I think that nowadays the actresses are too thin and don't look so good (to my pleasing, I don't like the whole anorectic non-curvy trend of female "beauty" that's going on, I like women who look like women), and don't even act so well, many times they don't have a strong persona that a good actress would need in my opinion. But now back to movies - One of my favourites is also "Le pacte des loups" (The brotherhood of the wolves is the English title I think) and on the comedy side of things, of course nothing beats the old classic monty python movies, especially "Life of Brian". Even though I enjoy even the most stupidest basic american comedies also. Great movies that I very recently have discovered include the great new film "Kiss kiss bang bang" with Val Kilmer, "Being John Malkovich" and "Steve Zissous' life aquatic". I also enjoy drama films like "Wuthering Heights", "The English Patient" or "Chocolate" (or "The Shipping News" or "The Cider house rules" if we're talking about the great Lasse Halström films ... and again, I'm not gay!  :)   :)  just a sentimental sissy) but then again I like adventure films like the Indiana Jones films were. Basically I could say that I like everything that is entertaining in some way... And on the other hand I then again also like the less entertaining more art style films... Like for example I very much loved the Lars Triersen film "Dogville". Many people hate that kind of independent films... And then again on the other side of things, I even liked Titanic when it first came to theaters :)- But anyway movies are very important for me, and I think that a huge amount of my inspiration for my composing comes from cinematics!
