Biography
Jörg Michael (born March 27, 1963) is the German drummer of the Finnish power metal band Stratovarius, which he joined in 1995. Most of the bands he played with are power metal based. He has played an important part in shaping the drumming action of power metal, of which he is one of the most notable drummers. The first album he recorded was "Prayers of Steel" with Avenger (the band would later change their name to Rage). By they mid-80s Jörg Michael decided not to stick with a band, but to work as a studio session drummer. That's when he got in touch with so many bands and recorded most of his discography.
