Biography
I started my musical career when i was somewhere around 8 years old.
My mother bought me my first drumkit!!
Soon after having it my neighbours and i realised that it wasn`t my instrument :)
When I heard Iron Maiden`s “Number of the beast” I discovered
the mystic world of guitar playing… and here I am.
Early days I was playing in a numerous local bands desperately
trying to climb up those stairs, out from the cellars, you know what I mean.
Lady luck finally showed her face to me in `98 when me and Jukka Kyrö joined forces.
As a result of that collision we put together a band called Burning Point (as most of you hopefully know already). After a 2 albums ( Salvation By Fire and Feeding The Flames ) and 1 single (To Hell And Back) we are going stronger than ever!!! New album is on the way…
As I have mentioned before, suddenly I realised that I have handful of songs besides Burning Point`s tracks. We talked about those songs with the guys in the band and they weren`t too interested about them at the time…so I decided to form another band. This is for those who maybe wonder , what is the difference
between the Burning Point song and the Ghost Machinery song!( So if that doesn`t concern you, skip this part : )
First of all is the writing method, whereas I am writing to the B.P. I usually think riffs and so on guitars first and when I `m writing to the G.M. I think maybe keyboard riffs first ( although , I can`t play them : ) ). This is one of the differences, although you guys probably don`t hear that in the
finished product, but anyway….
Secondly, the lyrics (and this is the thing i usually left you, the listeners, decide what they are about because your interpretation is as good as mine) are maybe a bit personal than usually in the B.P mainly because I write the lyrics in the G.M. and Jukka and I write them in the B.P. And one band can release only maybe like one album per year but if you have two… And I am constantly writing a new songs!
Of course I let you decide are those songs any worth to listen or (much preferred option : )) to buy !
And thirdly, the songs are maybe a bit aggressive with the B.P. than G.M. camp? Or what do you think? Let me know…
