Biography
J-P Alanen plays guitar in the band Altaria and was the previous guitar player in Celesty from 2000 to 2005.
Alanen started out playing the piano then moved onto classical guitar at the age of eleven. J-P has been playing for around eight years.
His favourite guitarists include: Steve Lukather, Jimi, SRV, Albert Järvinen, Uli Roth, Andy Timmons, EVH, Paul Gilbert, Kee Marcello, Steve Morse, Larry Carlton, Pat Metheny and Al Di Meola.
J-P enjoys quite a wide range of music, from jazz, funk, fusion, pop, rock and heavy metal. Some of his favourite artists are: Toto, Van Halen, Giant, Mr.Big, U2, Genesis, Yes, Stevie Wonder, Weather Report, Tower Of Power and The Beatles.
In his spare time J-P enjoys hanging with friends, and of course, music.
