How it all started:
All started when I was a little boy in a little town called Sysmä. When I was 12 I got my first cheap Stratocaster copy after I sold my first drumsticks. I grew up listening old heavy metal standards like Smoke on the water and Enter Sandman. My playing was occasional until this 15-years old boy saw Yngwie Malmsteen on TV. He was so cool and unbelievable fast so I decided to buy every Malmsteen record and learn to play his songs and solos. (Odyssey is the best!)
After this wild Yngwie phase I found out many good players like Marty Friedman, Nuno Bettencourt + many more and started to learn scales and other basic music theory. I am self-taught and nowadays I think this learning process could have been much easier with a proper guidance. Of course I'm still learning and practising the art of music and guitar playing.
Oh I forgot to mention, in 2005 I found from Internet for some reason Excalion homepage and I found out that they were looking for a guitarist. I sent few clips of my playing and now I’m here.
