MICHAEL MONROE bassist Sami Yaffa (NEW YORK DOLLS, ex-HANOI ROCKS) has posted the following message:

"New Year 2012 started off with a bang... Gold record for the Michael Monroe Sensory Overdrive album.

Had January 1st off to rest from the festivities, since then I've been on the original Punk Rock chef Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations TV show, dragging him around this fine city of ours , Helsinki, and it's vicinity from a restaurant to a bar and back, from sauna, cupping to a gypsy party to another situation at a break neck speed, some great foods, some not, always great people along the way and great drinks and smiles on peoples faces.

Last day of shooting tomorrow, back home to NYC on Saturday to digest all of this, a badass start for 2012, if the rest of the year is gonna be anywhere close to how it started I'm gonna be in for a good ride.
