EXCALION Demoing Seven New Songs

Finnish symphonic power metallers EXCALION are currently demoing seven new songs for the band's forthcoming fourth album. Of the first five tracks to be recorded, most are "a bit faster" and include "some really nice and fresh elements for EXCALION," according to a post on the band's official blog. One of the last two songs is described as "quite heavy but slower" while the final track is sad to be a "power ballad."

The CD was produced by EXCALION and Arttu Sarvanne and was engineered and mixed by Arttu Sarvanne. The cover artwork was created by Fernando R. Garcia.

EXCALION's second album, "Waterlines", came out in the U.S. on April 24, 2007 via Ryko Distribution. The follow-up to 2005's "Primal Exhale" was recorded and mixed at Watercastle studio by Arttu Sarvanne.
