APOCALYPTICA: New Video Interview With PAAVO LÖTJÖNEN

Photojournalist Stephanie Roose of the Hidden Agenda conducted an interview with Paavo Lötjönen of the Finnish rock cello quartet APOCALYPTICA on prior to the band's March 8, 2011 concert at the Machine Shop in Flint, Michigan. You can now watch the chat below.
"Not Strong Enough", the latest video from APOCALYPTICA, features the vocals from HOOBASTANK's Doug Robb after the singing of SHINEDOWN frontman Brent Smith was removed from the track due to the fact that APOCALYPTICA failed to secure the right to release the song to radio with Smith's voice on it from SHINEDOWN's label, Atlantic Records. Smith's vocal track remains on the version found on the group's latest album, "7th Symphony".
"'Not Strong Enough' was one of the early songs in the process of the production for '7th Symphony'," Eicca Toppinen told AOL's Noisecreep. "Every time I watch a video [that director Lisa Mann] did for us, I'm overwhelmed how her pictures support our ambition to deliver a fine balance between mystic and romantic with our music."
APOCALYPTICA drummer Mikko Siren told The Pulse Of Radio how "Not Strong Enough" came together with Smith on vocals. "We met Brent some two years ago," he said. "We did some festivals in (the) States and we saw them live, and we were really impressed of his voice. And the song itself, I think it really requires that strong voice who can sing that melodic lines, and he holds it up so great. So when we had the song and we remembered him being around, we asked him and we were lucky enough that he agreed to come in."
"7th Symphony" also features guest vocals from FLYLEAF singer Lacey Mosley and BUSH's Gavin Rossdale, in addition to Smith.
