VERENPISARA Featuring Members Of AMORPHIS Due To Release New Album This Month

According to an updated from Night Elves, Finland's VERENPISARA's fourth album, Eilinen On Kuollut, will be released on February 23rd.

The band's three previous albums are Aamunodottaja (2002), Happosadetta (2003) and Irtileikattu (2005). In a recent interview in Inferno (found here) Santeri Kallio reveals the band started working on the material for the new album five years ago, but troubles with the record company and AMORPHIS' schedule delayed the process. The recordings for the album were done over the last two summers. One of the songs in the album was composed as far back as 998, but there is brand new material as well.

Bassist Niclas Etelävuori (AMORPHIS, ex-KYYRIA) is featured on the album but won't be performing. A replacement bassist has yet to be announced.
