WINTERSUN Confirmed For Metalfest 2011

Finnish metallers WINTERSUN are the latest additions to Metalfest 2011. Comments the band:

"We agree to play a few shows and show people that Wintersun is still alive. So after carefully weighing all the different possibilies, we think we need to play these shows to help the completion of the album. For now it will be four shows, three of them happening at Metalfest Germany, Austria and Switzerland. There´s lot of work and preparation to do for these shows, 'cause we have to update our live gear as well, sort out technical difficulties and of course rehearse the songs. This will most likely affect negatively with the mixing schedule, so I can´t give any predictions with that yet but at the end of December this year I should be able to finally start mix our new album. And no worries, these shows will definitely not be cancelled. So we are looking forward to you guys, see you at the gigs! Who knows, we might even play a one new riff... I mean a song!"

Metalfest Germany will be held at the airport in Dessau, Metalfest Austria will be held at Mining am Inn and Metalfest Switzerland will be held at Z7 in Pratteln.

The current bill also includes ARCH ENEMY, ARKONA, BELPHEGOR, CRADLE OF FILTH, DESTRUCTION, EISREGEN, EQUILIBRIUM, EXCREMENTORY GRINDFUCKERS, KALMAH, KIVIMETSÄN DRUIDI, MILKING THE GOATMACHINE, SABATON, SODOM, SUICIDAL ANGELS, THAUROROD, WATAIN, WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER (Austria only), WINTERSUN.
