SONATA ARCTICA On Set-List For Upcoming North American Tour - "It's Time To Get A Shock"

In an interview conducted today with MetalAssault.com, SONATA ARCTICA frontman Tony Kakko checked in from Finland and discussed the set list for the band’s upcoming 24-show North American tour, which launches on April 2nd in Philadelphia. Support will come from MUTINY WITHIN and POWERGLOVE.

MetalAssault.com: You played a few songs off of the new album on [the DragonForce] tour. How different will the set list be this time around?

Kakko: "We have added more songs from the latest album. We're going to play songs like ‘Deathaura.’ We are going to rehearse that one really soon. We are leaving some of the older material out and may be rehearsing something that we haven't played in a long time. We will leave some of the surprises for the people to find out. We have to shake it up a little bit. We've been playing the same old songs for a long time and it's time to get a shock. It might be safe to play only the songs people want to hear but it’s getting boring for some of the older fans."

Tony Kakko also talks about the band’s participation on the 70,000 Tons of Metal cruise and Perttu Kivilaakso of Apocalyptica playing cello on the latest SONATA album. To read the entire interview, go here
