CHILDREN OF BODOM: 'Lookin' Out My Back Door' Video Released

CHILDREN OF BODOM video for the band's cover version of the CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL classic "Lookin' Out My Back Door" can be viewed below. The song comes off the Finnish metallers' new album, titled "Skeletons In The Closet", which is scheduled for release on September 23 through Spinefarm. The follow-up to last year's "Blooddrunk" is a selection of cover versions, some of them existing recordings, others specially laid down for this release.

CHILDREN OF BODOM has been recording covers since the early days of its career, some predictably heavy ("Silent Scream" by SLAYER, for example), others reflecting an altogether broader taste ("Talk Dirty To Me" by POISON).

CHILDREN OF BODOM will return to North America this fall to headline a massive, month-long tour. The 20-city trek will launch on Friday, September 18 at Lupo's Heartbreak Hotel in Providence, Rhode Island and will run through October 14 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Support will come from THE BLACK DAHLIA MURDER and SKELETONWITCH.

CHILDREN OF BODOM recently released a 79-song digital box set exclusively through iTunes. It retails for $49.99.

CHILDREN OF BODOM was forced to cancel several shows on the No Fear Energy Tour with LAMB OF GOD due to injuries sustained by guitarist and frontman Alexi Laiho. Laiho, 30, broke his shoulder in April when he was ejected from his tour bus bunk after the vehicle took a sharp turn. Laiho and the rest of CHILDREN OF BODOM were touring North America in support of the band's critically acclaimed album "Blooddrunk".

CHILDREN OF BODOM will embark on a tour of South America and Mexico in September. Support on the trek will come from AMORPHIS.

  6. I love the video, simply because it looks like the guys are all having fun.
There's no need for metal to be serious all the time.

  8. @ Hayley

Creedence Clearwater Revival was a very popular band in the 1970's, and this song was their biggest hit. Growing up, I heard this song on the radio at LEAST 1,000 times. Of course I live in America, so I don't think Europeans or any other part of the world were exposed to them.

They were southern American rock, maybe that's why you don't like it..(honestly I don't care for them either) Way different than COB I must say.. XD

  9. I like the song, and I don't think it's gay at all (how can a song be gay, by the way?), it's just different from what we're used to listen to here in Metal From Finland since originally it's not metal.
I don't like the video, it looks overtly fake (maybe that's supposed to be intentional), and wtf happened to Alexi's face?? I saw him last week live from pretty up close and he didn't look like this. His face looks like a tight mask in this video.
I hope they start working on something different as soon as this tour wraps up... they only played two songs from Blooddrunk out of a total of a 17/18-song set.
