SHAMRAIN Change of Lead Singer and Sneak Preview on New Material

We have decided to part our ways with Mika Tauriainen.
However this has happened in a good spirit and we wish him all the best in his future projects.

We just came to a point where our musical visions didn't match so well anymore
and it became harder and harder to arrange Shamrain's schedules.

In the future, vocal duties will be fully handled by Minna Sihvonen,
who has already participated on all of our past recordings.

Songs for our yet untitled 4th album are under work, and we have uploaded demo of a song called "Everything Made Perfect Sense" on our myspace.
The plan is to start the album recordings in the end of 2009 at latest.

  1. Such a shame that Mika has moved on, good singer.
I wish him best of luck as well.

Hopefully the next new album will be as good as the previous albums.

  3. Indeed. It's clear it was not his decision.
By the way... I don't know what his musical visions were like, but that new song the others put together is... well I don't want to use harsh words, but compared to their other songs it's quite unimaginative I think. I don't want to judge the "new ShamRain" by just one song, but it's true that of their older songs I could never say anything negative (regardless of whether they had much of M's musical visions in them or not).
