POISONBLACK To Enter Studio In August

POISONBLACK — the Finnish band featuring former SENTENCED frontman Ville Laihiala — will enter the studio in August with producer Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, SENTENCED, AMORPHIS, ENSIFERUM) to begin recording its new album for an early 2010 release.

"A Dead Heavy Day", the latest CD from POISONBLACK entered the Finnish chart at position No. 6. The album was made available as standard CD, LP plus bonus CD as well as limited-edition CD plus bonus DVD containing a "Making Of A Dead Heavy Day", the video for the single "Rush" (taken from the band's 2006 effort "Lust-Stained Despair"), and seven songs filmed at an exclusive semi-acoustic gig at Radio Mega in the band's hometown of Oulu.

  1. Wow, already a new album? Okay, A Dead Heavy Day was released in 2008, but that's still not too far behind.

Anyways, I'm very nervous about what the album will be like and I hope they will tour 2010 in germany again!

  2. I hope the new album will be "more listenable" than A Dead Heavy Day.
Lust-Stained Despair had a really good soud its war heavy and gothic, but with A Dead Heavy Day, we had a really good soud heavy but the singing wasn't really powerfull..
But I have a good feeling for the next album !!

  3. I agree with u Rhiannon. I hope this album is great and more like Lust Stained Despair. But I'm sure I'll be happy either way with what Ville puts out. Also hope they tour in America. Ville has been a big deal in my life and I'd like to possibly meet him. I'd pay anything to see him live.
