NIGHTWISH: Footage Of GRASPOP METAL MEETING Performance Available

Video footage of NIGHTWISH performing at this year's installment of the Graspop Metal Meeting — which was held on June 26-28, 2009 on the festival grounds of the Boeretang in Dessel, Belgium — can be viewed below.

NIGHTWISH's video for "The Islander" was honored with a "Best Music Video" award at the Muuvi awards ceremony, which was held on April 17, 2009 in Helsinki.

"The Islander" clip was shot and directed by Tuomas "Stobe" Harju at the end of 2007 in Rovaniemi, Finland near the Arctic Circle.

Muuvi awards are handed out annually to the best Finnish music videos.

"Made In Hong Kong (And In Various Other Places)", the new CD/DVD from NIGHTWISH, entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 15. It also opened at No. 2 in Finland and dropped down to No. 5 in its second week of release.

Released on March 13 via Nuclear Blast Records, "Made In Hong Kong (And In Various Other Places)" contains a DVD documentary (with a running time of approximately 45 minutes) of NIGHTWISH's world tour in support of the band's latest album, "Dark Passion Play", as well as a CD featuring live recordings from the trek. The documentary footage was reportedly directed by Ville Lipiäinen.

Anette looks amazing!
I know some people think she's fat, but I'm loving the extra pounds on her... I always thought she was too skinny when she first joined Nightwish... now she has nice, smooth womanly curves.

Yay for a Nightwish post with no drama related to interviews and/or references to former members!

Finally some news of NW whith no drama on it xD i think Anette looks nice on that dress but i think she`s a bit fat than when she joined the band...probly cuz of all the touring and stuff. Either way she`s still hot! Hope she gets in shape again and go back to black hair i like her better than blond T_T

She looks kinda fat, and "Dead to the world" is one of few old songs which she does ok, in other cases she better not to sing them.

Honestly...
I could not even stand there for 2 minutes ...was in the front...saw them comming up heard her voice i left straight away, with me a lot more.
The older NW songs she did not even came close.
I was really dissepointed , I had hoped to see a good NW concert.
I had to laugh cause we chilled next to the stage and my sister hitted the high notes when she was singing the songs along where Annette could not.
I so would not put in any efford again to see them live again.

Still, I am not getting the wings....

And as for old NW songs - I still think the less the better. With Anette they are from "so-so acceptable" to "pure catastrophy".

She can barely hit the notes on DPP songs, they should stay away from old songs as much as possible, everytime they are played by them with Anette as singer and NW current half assed playing, the songs are "cheapened" some more, as Maestro Once predicted they would be with any new singer, never mind a very thin voiced sad replacement from the bargain bin

I am still quite upset about the name of this - I mean DéJà-Vu?
What kind of DéJà-Vu is this supposed to be?
First we are asked every now and then NO TO COMPARE to previous vocalist (who has a name, Maestro, do not you remmeber it?) - whatever. For years we are on monthly base (or sometimes weekly base) told that THIS IS COMPLETELY something else, or ok, vocalist was hired NOT TO BE AT ALL Tarja´s cut-copy, though vision of this band did not change.

OK, vision is one thing, but DéJà-Vu means something EXACTLY THE SAME (in a freaky way even - you most probably do not know Matrix here, right?)

Bands, which did not chnage vocalist and did not change any of member of the band would never talk about DéJà-Vu, because normally you have different songs in your set list and anyway, even if it is not true, nobody would like to say, ok, we did not do anything new, you are paying for the same stuff, guys.

So, why do we have DéJà-Vu here? If it is meant that they are going to hire Tarja and do the same thing again (concert, open letter, etc) then I will apologize - that would be a proper DéJà-Vu.

But I still have a feeling that this is meant to say that Anette is exactly the same as Tarja - which I doubt to be true.

I think so , too, I can not stand her singing old songs. Even with new songs it is better not to watch her. In her middle age she behaves as teenager flirting around wildly.

Maybe if she would calmed down a bit - but she tries to get all attention all the time.

This woman is PLEADING for attention, sure. It is quite embarrasing, too.
I would say she would better stop to watch so much Britney, though even she is not so openly uppish.
