MICHAEL MONROE Named As Stage Announcer At Ruisrock Fest

The organizers of Finland's Ruisrock festival have issued the following update:

"For numerous years now, HANOI ROCKS has been a mainstay as one of the most popular acts of the Ruisrock festival. Now that the band has called it quits, we are fortunate to welcome the band's frontman MICHAEL MONROE as a special guest stage announcer.

As usual, each stage has it's own announcer, but during the weekend Michael Monroe will pick some personal favourites from the festival's artist roster and introduce their sets. When and where these special moments will take place will be a surprise right up to the last minute."

As previously reported, this year's installment of the Ruisrock Festival is scheduled for July 3rd - 5th at Ruissalo in Turku, Finland. Acts confirmed for the festival include: SLIPKNOT, DISTURBED, IN FLAMES, AMORPHIS, CHILDREN OF BODOM, DEATHSTARS, FAITH NO MORE to name but a few. Further details can be found here.
