   I like their new song, she sounds (and looks) cool, very fitting to the band's music. :)
   I'm happy the band decided to continue, music should be about evolving and facing challenges too.

   But I'm happy for Alyson Avenue. Somewhere deep inside I hope they now grow bigger than Nightwish. Just to see the look on Annette's face (A). Maybe she can take a lesson out of that.

   Omg, she left AA before she made an audution for NW. So there are no lessong for anybody and no reasons for bashing her for "she is soooo bad she left her bandmates for the fame and money of the bigger band".
   Alyson Avenue released their second album on 2004 and that was it. Perhaps, they felt this band has no future or smth like that, and that's why a creative person Anette is left to find something good for her.
   
   And I also think that guys from AA decided to try it again with the band seeing how Anette made a career, made her dream alive. To cut the long story short, they just got inspired by her. That is why they started is all over.

   Nice one,i agree with you...And i believe that this whole thing with Anette has a double benefit:
   one for NW,who gathered fans from rock and pop genre and
   one for AA,that now EVERYONE will go and check their singer,their songs blah blah...

    I think we had this discussion about Anettes wepage and her thoughts of having a schnitzel? There is nice discussion on one american server - they actually did not know she has a web page, so I told them :-) and this is a nice reaction from Houstonmaid - he actually did not want to believe that she has a page about her, first and then he commented:
    "this is too funny!!! Imagine if Tom Araya from Slayer said this shit! "Let's see, today I walked my dog after my morning coffee and croissant. It was delicious. Sometimes I think I need to be more poetic on stage. I think I'll write some lyrics down about God not hating us all this week." LOL. Wouldn't that shit be funny? The people who actually take time out of their day to "see" what Annete is doing are even more lame. I guess for the humor of it all it's definitely worth a read though! 14. Blackwood Anette had blond hair while she was in AA and this singer looks nout like her. She does sound similar though which could be a bad choice for the band. I thought a nice fresh sound would have been good rather than a clone of what they had with Anette. Not saying I don't like it though.
    
    Nightwish have nothing to worry about from AA and Just like someone else mentioned Anette had left the band some time before she auditioned for Nightwish.
    
    I hope the band achieve what they want to :0)

    I suppose that comes from her being an artist. A singer who made it and became the vocalist of Nightwish. One needs certain amount of talent and creativity to get a job like that.

    On the AA site it's written that
    
    "In 2003, a little more than 3 years later ALYSON AVENUE released a new album titled ?Omega?.
    In 2007, ALYSON AVENUE had slowed down a bit so when NIGHTWISH went public with the information that they looked for a new Lead Vocalist, Anette decided to make a go of it"
    I think they made a small mistake in dates cuz it was year 2006 when the auditions began.

    I can sing as well, having been in choir for few years - and in a good one, actually, but not known out of our country. And as for her comments about schnitzel - well, I am writing newspapers for this company (not food related).
    Good to know that this is enough to be considered as creative person.
    As for her webpage - she received many questions what does she think about new AA singer, so we will just see.
    Though, she did not answer yet any questions, so maybe we will not see. I am particularly interested how she is going to handle questions like that one from Oceane, who asked her why she and a band ignored fans all the time (in France). :-)

    If it is not, then what this news is doing on th MFF? Or it IS related to metal-then we can discuss it -some pop band, whose ex-pop singer joined metal band and trying her ass hard to look metal, although she failes to do so.
