ENSIFERUM: European Festival Schedule Updated

Finland's ENSIFERUM have updated their 2009 festival schedule for Europe. It is now as follows:

April
11 - Lübeck, Germany - Rocktower Festival

May
22 - Pratteln, Switzerland - Metal Dayz
23 - Dessau, Germany - Legacy Fest
24 - Mining, Austria - Summer Nights

June
19 - Dischingen, Germany - Rock am Härtsfeldsee

As previously reported, Ensiferum are gearing up to release their first two albums - Ensiferum (2001) and Iron (2004) - in the UK for the very first time. Initially scheduled for a March 30th release, the albums have been pushed to April 6th.

The albums are part of the "Metal Hammer Approved" and will be issued via Spinefarm Records UK. Both albums will come with bonus material.

"After entering the studio for the first time in the latter part of the '90s, Ensiferum have been constantly sharpening their sound, dispensing epic music heavy in both atmosphere and attack, with their most recent Victory Songs opus (re-issued in the UK last year as a 2-CD set with the 'Dragonheads' EP) taking 'Folk/Viking Melodic Metal' to a whole new level of grandeur.

The band will shortly be starting work on studio album #4, with September 9th, 2009 already cast in steel as the day of release. Barring coastal resistance from imported mercenaries, UK dates will follow..."
