STRATOVARIUS Frontman TIMO KOTIPELTO Participatiing In Finnish "Battle Of The Choirs"

STRATOVARIUS frontman Timo Kotipelto has issued the following update:

"I am participating in Finnish version of The Battle Of The Choirs with a choir from my old home town, Lappajärvi. If you want to support the cause, why not joining the Facebook group Timon Kuoro - Kuorosota. My choir will be singing heavy rock/hard rock stuff. And they are damn good!"

As previously reported, Stratovarius will hit the UK for a couple of exclusive European shows before starting into the festival season 2009.

Yes, you got it right: fans in the UK will be the very first to see them live in 2009 and witness Kupiainen’s introduction on stage. (25-year old Finnish guitarist Matias Kupiainen replaced former Stratovarius axe/mouthpiece Timo Tolkki, who has moved on and formed REVOLUTION RENAISSANCE).

In addition to that Stratovarius will also perform one show in Warsaw, Poland at Progresja right after the Wacken Rocks festivals.
