AMORAL To Release New Single In February

Finnish metallers AMORAL will release their first single with new vocalist Ari Koivunen, "Year Of The Suckerpunch", on February 11. In addition to the title track, which was written and composed by guitarist Ben Varon, the single will include a cover of the MISFITS song "Dig Up Her Bones".

"Year Of The Suckerpunch" will make its Finnish radio debut this Friday, January 16.

AMORAL's as-yet-untitled new album was recorded at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna, Finland and is currently being mixed for a May release.

Ari Koivunen, 24, is best known as the winner of the 2007 Finnish national TV talent competition "Idols". He has released two solo albums thus far — 2007's "Fuel For The Fire" and 2008's "Becoming".

Vocalist Niko Kalliojärvi left AMORAL in order to focus on other projects. He made his final appearance with the band at the Thrashia Läpi Yön festival at Tammela, Finland on August 23, 2008.

AMORAL in 2007 entered the album chart in Finland at position No. 5 with the band's latest effort, "Reptile Ride".
