CHARON Hard At Work On New Material

Finnish gothic metallers CHARON have issued the following update:

"Our beloved friends of CHARON industry... We are not dead yet. We are somewhere between dormant and vivid. Last weekend at a secret location in Northern Finland we gathered to worship the Finnish God of beer, Karhu (Bear), and to write more new songs for our next album. We had hell of a good time with some hell of a good results. Please bear with us. Hiljaa hyvää tulee (freely translated: Gently!), as the common saying, by our old and wise friend Joki-Matti, goes."

Video footage of CHARON performing a new song at Myötätuulirock 2008 in Hakunila, Vantaa, Finland on June 14, 2008 can be viewed below.

CHARON's latest CD, "Songs for the Sinners", debuted on Finland's national album chart at position No. 6 back in September 2005. The follow-up to 2003's "The Dying Daylights" was recorded at Finnvox Studios in Helsinki with producer Mikko Karmila.

  2. I am looking forward to your next record very much. I have all of your past records and love them all. The new song on the Youtube video sounds excellent!
