MOONSORROW, TÝR Release Joint Videotaped Statement Rejecting 'Nazi Sympathizer' Rumors

Finnish folk/pagan metal band MOONSORROW and Faroe Islands metallers TÝR, who are currently touring European together under the Paganfest Europe banner (alongside ENSIFERUM, KORPIKLAANI, and ELUVEITIE) have released a joint videotaped statement rejecting rumors that they are Nazi sympathizers in the wake of reports that their April 17 concert in Berlin may be cancelled (as a result of pressure from a local anti-fascist organization).

MOONSORROW will release its new EP, "Tulimyrsky" (Firestorm), on April 30 via Spikefarm Records. The CD will contain over 60 minutes of music, including a cover version of METALLICA's "For Whom The Bell Tolls".

TÝR will release its fourth full-length album, "Land", on May 30 in Europe and June 10 in the U.S. via Napalm Records. According to the band, the follow-up to 2006's "Ragnarok" "contains mostly Faeroese, but also Icelandic and Norwegian traditionals, re-arranged into heavy metal. The second most prevalent language is English." The CD was recorded at Jacob Hansen's (RAUNCHY, ROB ROCK, HATESPHERE, MERCENARY) studio in Ribe, Denmark.
