TODIEFOR Utilizing Session Guitarist On U.S. Tour

Finnish melancholy rock band TO/DIE/FOR has issued the following update:

"We feel that it would be appropriate to tell that all of you that attended the U.S. shows so far have been tricked a bit (so to say): Prior to the tour, we found out that Joonas [Koto] was not able to take part in the tour, and we'd need a replacement guitar player. Well, we found one, he is Jaakko Kunnas from the Finnish melodic metal band HELION.

"Many fans have actually thought that it is Joonas, which is understandable — the guys actually resemble each other a bit. But no, it's a different dude this time. There you go, now it's said and done. Don't worry though, the songs still sound the same... should you not believe us, come and check it out for yourself!"

As previously reported, TO/DIE/FOR's previously announced Canadian shows have been cancelled "due to heightened security in and out of the U.S. because of the recent attacks in England and Scotland."

TO/DIE/FOR is currently seeking a new label home following its split with Spinefarm Records earlier in the year.

TO/DIE/FOR's fifth album, "Wounds Wide Open", was released in Finland on October 4.

The follow-up to 2005's "IV", "Wounds Wide Open" was recorded by Samu Oittinen at Fantom Studios and by Jari-Jukka Nippala at Sonic Image, and was mixed at Sweden's Abyss Studios by Peter Tägtgren (DIMMU BORGIR, CELTIC FROST).

Nuclear Blast recently reissued TO/DIE/FOR's "All Eternity" (2000) and "Epilogue" (2001) albums as a double-CD package. The cover art can be viewed at this location.
