WIDESCREEN MODE: "Everlasting Bomb" single released...

The first WSM single "Everlasting Bomb" is coming out on May 9th. This is the first cut to be taken from the upcoming “Until the End” debut album. Sneak preview of the video online on April 27th!

"Everlasting Bomb" will be released digitally and it will be available at different digital music stores online. It’s also going to be available for all Finnish radio and TV stations, so you can start asking for the song from your favourite stations!

The "Everlasting Bomb" music video was directed by Markus Aaltonen. The material on the video has been taken from previous live shows and it presents the band as a pure, unfiltered metal act. The video will be available on Finnish music TV channels, including MTV and The Voice. It's also going to be available on YouTube and the WSM website.

Before the actual release date, a sneak preview of the "Everlasting Bomb" video will be available on the Official WSM Website on April 27th, just before the Finnish Vappu!

The debut album

The production of the "Until the End" debut album is now finished! The band is extremely satisfied and excited after having a long 14 months working with the material. A huge thanks goes to our persistent producer Jani Loikas, our whisky-loving mixing engineer Anssi Kippo, our ingenious mastering engineer Thomas Eberger, our out-of-the-box manager Nick LoPiccolo and all the superb additional musicians, such as Wille Rosen (additional vocals), Petri Kallio (string arrangements), Paula Nurminen (violas) and Charlotta Kivistö (violins).

Until the End is pure Widescreen Mode: combining electrifying, incisive riffs with compelling melodies, and a classic metal attitude. It's a 12 song metal monster, packed full of authentic playing, meaningful lyrics and songs that won't let you go. The release date is still being finalized, but it will most likely be released in July or August. The band is still negotiating deals with different labels.

Dark Sentiments

During the album process, the band decided to start an own music production company, Dark Sentiments. This decision was made to simplify cooperation with different parties and to become completely independent. After all, this means that Widescreen Mode is now able to produce and release material without record companies, but also that, it's now more convinient to team up with different distributors, promoters and management companies all over the world. The "Everlasting Bomb" single is the first Dark Sentiments release.

Lupo Entertainment

In February, Widescreen Mode signed a management contract with the New York-based company, Lupo Entertainment. Lupo became interested in Widescreen Mode in November 2006 after hearing the band's demo "Another Day". The deal is not comparable to a record deal, but it means that Widescreen Mode now has an active representative in the United States that is looking for record deals, North American distribution, and other new opportunities for the band. Lupo Entertainment is owned by Steve Corbin, who is also a Vice President of the Warner/Elektra/Atlantic Corp. Steve has worked closely with many of the industry's top artists over the last 30 years.
