Finnish metallers to compose songs for the Idols winner Ari Koivunen

According to Helsingin Sanomat (www.hs.fi), the winner of Finnish Idols-competition Ari Koivunen is going to get songs from many top-rated finnish metal-artists. The group of metallers to compose songs are Timo Tolkki (Stratovarius), Tomi Putaansuu aka Mr. Lordi (Lordi), Marco Hietala (Nightwish, Tarot), Janne Joutsenniemi (Suburban Tribe), Tony Kakko (Sonata Arctica) and Jarkko Ahola (Teräsbetoni).

Album will be produced by Nino Laurenne (Thunderstone) and Pasi Heikkilä (45 Degree Woman).

According to Kimmo Valtanen of SonyBMG, the label recognized the potential of Ari Koivunen already in the beginning of Idols competition and that they would've made an album with Ari even though he wouldn't have won the competition.

The album should hit the stores in Finland on 6th June 2007.
