Tarja Turunen Hides To Compose (Iltalehti)
Tarja Turunen and Marcelo Cabuli's marriage blossoms
Tarja Turunen's first gig in Finland was already yesterday in Helsinki's Tavastia. The most anxious fans were already waiting in front of the club during the day. Tarja herself was happy but slightly bemused about the situation and for the gold and platinum records she received for her My Winter Storm album.
- Honestly I didn't think the album would do this well since it is a debut album and a new kind of music. Of course you should have hopes and dreams but I'm really happy that this happened, Mrs. Turunen-Cabuli radiated.
Husband Marcelo Cabuli was also in Helsinki with the now ending Tarja - Storm in Europe tour. Tarja states that she's in good hands with her husband.
- He's without a doubt an essential part of my work world. Everything is fine, Tarja thanks.
Tarja's tour continues until the end of the year in South-America, North-America and after that in Europe. Now it's time for work.
- Heh, at least I'm not pregnant. My stomach might be bulging for completely different reasons. Though now I have such a good tour behind me that I've had time to run every other day and so at least feel like I'm in good shape, Turunen talks about the comments of additions in her family.
Tarja begins to work on her second album right after the concert in Tavastia.
- I'll dive to Kuusankoski and lock the door. We've also planned a composing camp far away in the Caribbean. The intention is to get more of my own material for the next album but we'll see if I have if in me. - At least the effort is hard, Turunen smiles.
- I'm enjoying singing at the moment more than I ever have. I've found freedom and happiness in doing, she adds.
The dramatic events with Nightwish three years ago aren't really on her mind but the new beginning seems to have turned on the positive side in the end.
- Per se these things depend a lot on yourself. You need to process things and this has been a lot to process. Still this is about music and that's the most important thing and that should be remebered, Tarja emphasizes.
- I'm very happy, as long as I should stay healthy. That's the most important thing now, Tarja decides.
