May Day Is Useless
Tuomas Holopainen of Nightwish, 31, considers May Day as the most useless celebration.
- People behave like morons and they look stupid.
Holopainen has no May Day memories since his choice has been to keep working on May Day like on any other day. He remembers taking part in some parties in high school, though.
The usual combination of sausages, potato salad and mead doesn't belong to Holopainen's May Day except when he happens to visit friends who will offer him some, as it is the common habit.
This year's May Day will be spent on a plane flying to touring in Mexico. The day before he'll spend in the studio.
- I have a side project under work, but I can't talk about it yet. It is a kind of therapeutic side project, he describes it.
