Benefits of networking

This is my first blogentry in MFF. I will try to write about things that I find important, things that necessarily have nothing to do with Finnish Metal or Rock. But I will also try to keep these blogs interesting enough so that the visitors of MFF enjoy while reading these.

Today I was re-designing the HORNS-section here in MFF with a friend of mine who does some graphical stuff and I noticed that H.I.M. had jumped on top of the list. It didn't surprise me really considering the known fact that H.I.M. is the best known finnish band outside the finnish borders. But the thing that DID surprise me was that it was only some hours earlier when I had checked the HORNS-section, MACHINE MEN was still nro 1 and all of a sudden they had dropped nro 2.

Well naturally I wanted to check what was behind this so i started going through the activity in MFF and after going it through some time I noticed that many of the people came through one particular source...that being bulletin.myspace.com.

I am also very active in Myspace having 2 profiles, MetalGod's Corner and Metalfromfinland.com I decided to go if I would see something there that would answer my questions...and I sure did. It seems that group of H.I.M. Street Teams started posting bulletins to Myspace and it had spreaded nicely cause people kept on re-sending those bulletins. And they did it with style too. My Horns Up to them!

Of course some of you might think..."Well it's easy cause there are so many H.I.M. fans out there...". Well that might be true but in this case the band itself didn't contribute to this in any way, it was the fans.

And now their favourite band is Nro 1. So that little effort was well worth it...
