Biography
Rainroom was formed by Jere Ralli and JP Eloranta in late 2003, some time after the break-up of their previous band Dewian. Later in the year, when Jere was homeless and living with JP, the friends composed six songs which became the band's first recording, Netherself. In 2006 Oskari Hakala-Rahko, who had recently quit his band at the time, Vanguard, joined Rainroom. After recording Netherself Jere and JP had written a lot of material, enough for a full-lenght album, but the trio ended up recording only three songs for an EP entitled Monochrome of Feathers. During the rehearsals for the Monochrome-session, Jelle Van Der Beek, a Frisian drummer who had played in such acts as Scrotum and Fiend, joined the band. The studio session was finished, however, with Teemu Laitinen of Divercia in drums. In 2010 Oskari quit the band, and the band's former bassist Kim Suikkanen (All Dreams Dying, Seker) took Oskari's place. In early 2011 the band will release their first full lenght album through a label.
