FINNTROLL, CHTHONIAN Members Join Forces In OBSERVANT

OBSERVANT, the new Finnish metal band featuring members of FINNTROLL and CHTHONIAN, has made its debut EP, "Corrodead", available via MySpace. The EP was recorded at Studio KPB by the bandmembers themselves, and was mixed and mastered by Sami "Hannu" Koivisto at Biotech Audio Solutions and Nordic Audio Labs. OBSERVANT was formed in late 2008 in Pietarsaari, Finland by Mikael Ekstedt, Kenna Nygård and Staffan Holmnäs (CHTHONIAN) after a late night in the bar. Jonas Frilund (CHTHONIAN) and Mathias Lillmåns (FINNTROLL, CHTHONIAN) joined the band the following year and the lineup was complete. Biography
Observant was founded in late 2008 in Pietarsaari, Finland by Mikael Ekstedt-Kenna Nygård-Staffan Holmnäs(Chthonian) after a late night in the bar. Jonas Frilund(Chthonian) and Mathias Lillmåns(Finntroll, Chthonian) joined the band later on in 2009 and the lineup was complete. All the members have played together in Pietarsaari before in various bands like Degenerate, Devious Imp, Twilight Moon etc.
The band recorded a 4-song promo EP 'Corrodead' themselves in winter 2010. The promo EP was recorded @Studio KPB by the band, mixed and mastered by Sami "Hannu" Koivisto @Biotech Audio Solutions and Nordic Audio Labs.
