Obedient Chaos

Biography

Obedient Chaos is a metal/hardcore band from Turku, Finland. The band got formed when guitarist Juhani, or Sepi as we all know him, wanted to start a new band, that would play plain, raw metal. Sepi collected a bunch of his friends together in January 2007. Eaven though every band member didn't know each other before the band, we soon discovered that this is the group we want to do music with. We all share the same idea of where we should take Obedient Chaos musically. The most important thing in Obedient Chaos is, that every band member enjoys playing together and that we have fun doing what we love to do, playing hard, fast and brutal metal!

Obedient Chaos has performed live many times since the beginning. While playing live, we have met some great bands that we have had privilige to play with many times. Live performances and active training has made the quintet known as Obedint Chaos a tight group. We have come far from the early days and are aiming eaven furter in the future.

Eaven though Obedient Chaos is relativly young band, we have had three different studio sessions. In Spring of 2007 we recorded three of our first songs ever written together. Main purpose of the recordings was to get some material to our Myspace sites. We spent couple of weekends recording and walked out of the studio with three songs recorded. Those songs were Green Fist, Ignorance(?) and Silent Dawn. Our singer Jussi has often referred to Green Fist as our "chaos anthem". If you listen to the lyrics of Green Fist, you will get a good wiev of the thematics Jussi often covers in his lyrics.

In Spring of 2009 we were ready to hit the studios again. This time we were more prepared and had several songs from wich to choose from. On these sessions we recorded Ancient Accending, For Those and Path of the Red Serpent. We also recorded the intro part of Path of the Red Serpent called Space Between Reason and Purpose. Litle did we know that we would return to the studio already in Autumn of 2009. We were supposed to release those three plus one song recorded in Spring as a demo CD, but because we had so many new songs already made, we decided to record few more. In Autumn of 2009 we recorded Never Stay Down!, Flight of the Forgottend Mind and a remake of Green Fist. These six plus one songs formed our first CD release, our self titled demo-EP.

Right now we are writing new material, performing live and poundering on our world domination plans.
