Biography
Mental transformation was formed in the year 2001 by S. Piirola and M. Mailminen in order to unite their strength to create metal music of extreme kind. The two didn't manage for too long without a drummer so they sought to their hands T. Franck. The band started of very well and the first songs were made amongst the foggy mountains of Muurla. At this point the band had no name but after a year or so found itself behind an alias "Balothron".
For a singer was drafted a local long haired growler, who by then was known under the nick Pastori (Reverend) Altrismal. At this point the first lyrics were made for the band and the world behind the music started to spawn. Some time after this, after the band found T. Lammervo to play bass, the group ended up in the chambers of Studio Haven, that was then just at it's starting point. The result of this session was a demo under the name Balothron that contained three primitive black metal tracks.
The band played a few live performances after this and was also very productive ending to the studio again next year in order to record a new ep. This release went under the name " Merkurius Hg " and was a mixture of Pastori A:s visions of the world and existence.
After a few live shows the ground grumbled beneath the world of the band since T. Lammervo suddenly left the band.
At this time A. Porkka supported the band playing bass and adding a new depth to the formerly known material. Gigs were played and the songs were rehearsed.After a while, when Pastori A. and Porkka decided to leave the group, the band broke to it's own impossibility. Some time was lived under unconsciousness after Franck and Malminen decided to gather what was left of the fragments of the former band.
During this period Alg., who had been doing vocal parts before in the bands live performances, showed interest in the band and came to do the vocals.
The band was together finally with a strong basis, but live performances became impossible with only three member band so an old friend, S. Piirola was hired for the rhythm guitar again. For the bass appeared J. Angel from the back forests of Raisio. The group was finally ready to move forwards in it's time line.
Piirola and J.Angel left the band during 2005.
Late 2006 P.Virtanen (bass) and L.Lahti (guitar) joined the band.
In April 2007 the band went to PopStudio in Helsinki to record a full length album “Chaos Conjuration”. It was released as a self release in summer 2007. The album sold 500 copies during the first month.
From the themes of the album we start to play live shows after a years break. Suspicious performances are still to be expected.
