Biography

Hiidensointi was born in summer 2007 at Tampere by guitarplayer Petri Koivistoinen and drummer Mika Hiironniemi. They got their friends involved as well.. after couple of months bassplayer Pate Laitinen and keyboardist Janne Haka-Risku were in. Nina Hiironniemi joined as a singer in july 2008 and the band was complete!!

Pretty soon they realized they had quite unique music in their hands!! Pete..s JazzyProgRock-songs filled with Nina..s lyrics in tune of Kalevala/ Finnish old poetry style is something you dont hear too often- or in this genre at all!

Hiidensointi is about to release their first promoCD, which will include songs:

-Koskella,
-Pohjalainen pitkä poika,
-Valonvaltiatar
-Aihetta lauluun

Band has material for more than two albums, so stay tuned we will RocK out :)
