DARK THE SUNS: New Album Title Announced

Jyväskylä, Finland-based melodic metal band DARK THE SUNS has set "Sleepwalking In A Nightmare" as the title of its third album, due this summer via Firebox Records. According to the group, the CD will contain "8-10 songs of melodic Finnish dark metal," including "Wounded By Broken Dreams", "Devoid Of The Sun", "Requiem" and "Walking With An Angel". The band adds, "The new album is going to be really melancholic and it includes lots of orchestrations and heavy guitar riffs. There'll also be two kinds of vocals: Mikko's [Ojala] growling vocals and Eliisa's [Tuomanen] clean vocals." Biography
Dark the Suns is a gothic metal band from Jyväskylä, Finland. In our music we combine beautiful piano melodies and dark vocals. We play a melodic and atmospheric, but still very energetic style of gothic metal.
Dark the Suns was originally founded as Mikko's solo project in 2005 in Valkeakoski. The first demo - where Mikko played all the instruments himself - was selected as ”Demo of the Month” in Inferno Magazine. In the beginning of 2006 DtS settled to Jyväskylä and Mikko's one-man project grew to a full band when Juha joined the band as a keyboardist, Inka as a bassist and Markus as a drummer.
Since we were signed to Firebox Records in the autumn 2006 we have released our debut album In Darkness Comes Beauty in November 2007 and The Sleeping Beauty –single in the next spring. We have also played lots of gigs during the last year in Finland, and we also played a short Baltian –minitour in May 2008.
In summer and in autumn there were some changes in Dark the Suns' line-up: Markus and Juha left the band. Mikko and Inka started to search for new bandmates, and quite soon new drummer Eino and new keyboardist Pinja joined the band.
The Dead End (mcd) is going to see the daylight in the late autumn 2008 and the recordings of our next full length album will start in the beginning of November.
