CALLISTO has issued the following update on their official website:"Autumn is constantly getting colder here in the north, as new chords and tunes are being conceived in the Callisto nest. Thus there will be a short break from playing shows.There are main structures of somewhat four or five songs ready and the front porch lights of studio doors are already blinking in the horizon. The doors are supposed to be opened next year. More info to follow."

Biography
Callisto is a Finnish post-metal band with a sound similar to the likes of Isis and Cult of Luna. Whilst their early works are clearly hardcore/metalcore, their first album True Nature Unfolds has a strong sludge metal and doom influence and their second album Noir is more influenced by "old-school" post-rock bands like Mogwai. Apart from featuring female vocals on some songs, they have used unexpected instruments, for example saxophone and cello.
Callisto's short and cryptic lyrics contain Christian themes and references.
