Biography
One could say that Angmar was formed in '94/'95. Back then the band used different name, and music style was much more primitive and raw. First real black metal attacks were composed…
THE FIRST ATTACK
Finally the band title was changed into Angmar in 1997 when the "Valonsurma" demo was released. It was a rare underground cassette release that was later re-released on CD.
Within three next years after the first demo, Angmar’s new songs started to become much more straightforward than the older ones and at this point the more brutal side of Angmar started to show it's face in rehearsals.
THE SECOND ATTACK
In march 2002, almost 5 years since 'Valonsurma', Angmar finally recorded the 2nd release called 'Planet Satan' which contains 4 tracks of raw and aggressive black metal with some death metal influences.. Grim and blasting brutality!
THE RAZORBLADE REDEMPTION
In 2003 Angmar entered studio once again to record 2 new songs and to re-record the song 'Fading of Flesh' from 'Planet Satan'. 'The Razorblade Redemption', the 1st album of Angmar was finally released inautumn of 2003 by Bestial Burst and Northern Sound Records containing 2003 sessions and both of the previous demos.
UNHOLY VIRTUES
In 2005 Angmar recorded three new bursts of blasphemy under title "Unholy Virtues" and it was released by Bestial Burst on split CD with The True Endless.
Angmar is now writing new material for a new release. Who's going to release it - don't know yet.
