Advent

Biography

Advent was formed in late 2006, when 3 Finnish guys wanted to start playing some sort of folk-metal. However, the 4:th guy joined the band to play lead guitar, and the genre changed from folk to progressive death metal with acoustic parts. There were a lot of ideas, and riffs to choose from, but the music-style became very clear for everyone in the band pretty soon. The first song was called "Decades in Sorrow", and not so long after that "Another day of Absence" was made. When more songs were put together, Advent also started playing live, ex. in a finnish band contest called "Ääni ja vimma", which took the band to semifinals. Advent has recorded a demo-cd with 3 songs: "Decades in Sorrow", "Another day of Absence" and "Pathway to Despair" which was OK, but not quite what the band seeked for. Currently, Advent is finnishing the new demo, which has more content in it than the one before. Everyone is happy with the new shit and waiting to release the new songs!
